Hey Bingos

There was a farmer who had a dog and BINGO was his name-o. And somehow this dog became a highly popular game throughout the world. With simple rules, bingo is enjoyed by millions of players throughout the world. Bingo games can be found at many types of events including picnics, company parties, church fund raisers, family reunions and many more.

A twist on the traditional bingo game is workplace safety bingo. This is used as a motivational tool for workers to avoid injuries and be more safety conscious at work. Each day that an accident is avoided a number is called and players can mark their cards. When an accident occurs all the boards are cleared and the game starts over.

Another version of bingo is "shower" bingo. This game is played at baby showers or bridal showers. Players are given bingo cards filled with words of baby gifts that may be given at the shower. As the bride or mom-to-be opens her gifts players place a marker (usually candy of some sort) on the square of the gift that has just been opened.

Bingo is also a great educational tool for children. Pictures of animals, letters, food, and many other items can be placed in the squares of bingo cards. Children learn to identify and match as they cover their bingo cards. They also learn fine motor skills as they pick up tiny chips, beans or other markers to place on their cards.

Whether you are playing at work, school or home, bingo offers hours of entertainment. You are never too old or too young to feel the excitement of covering that last square so you can be the one to call out BINGO!
